I've got one of these guns. I picked it up last summer. Nice AK, and I haven't had any problems with it so far, although it doesn't have a high round count yet. But for what I paid for it, it looks to be pretty much what I expected for the price, except for one thing, and that is the finish.
I think that for what these guns cost, Arsenal could (and should) do a bit better than the painted finish they currently put on them. I'm not so concerned about looks, but rather long term durability and effectiveness in protecting the gun from corrosion. I've heard of some people having the paint on the barrel bubble and flake off when shooting, as discussed in this video:

On the other hand, based on what I know, it seems that most Arsenal owners have no problems with this happening. Maybe this issue is the exception rather than the rule. I've also heard claims that these guns are parkerized and THEN painted. Can anyone confirm this? The claim is made at 6:30 in the video review below:

Also, the muzzle brake is supposed to be removable, but I can't unscrew mine. I'm aware that the threads are left hand threads, but try as I might to get it off, it is stuck on there good and tight. What's up with that?
