Consecutive???
Do you mean matching?
Consecutive would mean like 1814, 1815, 1816...
Matching would mean 1814 1814 1814.

It doesn't really add much to the value tbh. Its more a symbol for collectors, its cool to have a gun that is original.
On the OTHER hand, it can also mean that it was never used and put away because of low accuracy.

They're an interesting breed of rifle :)

Are they the same Mfg, year of Mfg, and Prefix, that would be my definition of consective serials. If so, it might add a little bit (10%) for uniqueness in my book.

I would think it adds to the collector's value. You dont see that often. On the scale of things though, it's not as if you have 2 rifles worth 1,000. So a 10% or some "Bump" for the 2 wouldnt be a large sum.

I think it's neat and worth keeping the 2 together.

First off, they are Mosin-Nagants. Serial numbers were started over again every year, so unless they were manufactured in the same arsenal in the same year, you just have two Mosin's that are close to the same number. You can find most of the information on determining exactly what they are at 7.62x54r.net and go from there.

Serial numbers were started over again every year,

Depending on how you look at it, they started over several times each year. There is usually a prefix of two cyrillic letters. When they reached xx99999, they would change the prefix and start over at 1.

Kinda cool to have two consecutive numbers, but as far as value... Gotta find the right guy. Far cooler to have consecutive numbers on a Mosin so many decades later than on a modern gun though.

4 out of 5 are rearsenaled 91/30
and like everybody says
not so unique, unless they are same run, same arsenal, same year
all matching
