I am considering a Para Ord Tac Four or a 7.45. I would like some input on these, before a purchase. I was really impressed with the trigger pulls on both. Would also like to know some price opinions for used/new on each. Thanks.

I've had a few Para's. All SA variants and all double stack, I still have one P14. All have been good to great, and all that were factory guns were VERY accurate and dead reliable. I have been thoroughly happy with all of them and seen nothing to cause me any hesitance in recommending them.

I just recently shot what I think was a tac-four, and the LDA was superb. I don't know much more, but the test drive was very nice.

... My C7.45 only feeds FMJ and Cor-Bons. My Tac-Four isn't as picky ...

I carry a P13 and love it. I've never had a problem with my gun and its shoots like a champ. Awesome!!

The P13 is like the Tac-4 without the options that make the Tac-4 more carry friendy.

I think the LDA is a solution to a non-problem and a much worse trigger than the P14, P13, P12, & P10 single actions had.

Oooh Cocked'n'Locked looks too scary! LDA is a solution I don't need.

Seems PO has brought back the P10 as the good old fashioned Single Action, Cocked'n'Locked Warthog. Alloy frame making it noticably lighter than the P10 and allegedly improved "PXT extractor". I say allegedly because here's a report of a broken one already:

Not that the P10 extractor is any great piece of work, but it can be replaced with a quality third party Series 80 part if necessary. I've had to adjust mine, if the adjustment doesn't "hold" I'll replace it.

I'd suggest you take a look at the Para OPS or other single stack small 45 guns as well from Springfield or Kimber before getting the 7.45 LDA.

I've own a Para C7.45 Companion.....

for the last two years and it has been reliable and accurate for me. It has fed any kind of ammo I shot through it.
I had a challenge at first with the Para mag, switched to Wilson's and that prob disappeared. Had to change the recoil spring once, put some skateboardtape on the front strap. Is a champ!
But I prefer C&L and lighter guns for CCW...the Para is heavy. I bought it for work as I was mandated to carry a DAO or DA w/decocker then. The Para gave me the same feel as my long carried Officer's model and used the same mags.......so it is what I got.
Now I carry what I want on duty......and it is a Colt CCO for me.
The LDA may be a silly design for some, but it meets certain criteria for the admin type that tell folks what they can carry in their holster. And if you have to have a DAO...the Para has one sweet trigger pull, coupled with excellant accuracy(the ones I have tried).
But given the choice, I'll stick with single stack(better reliability) mags, Single action(less parts to mess up at the wrong time), and a longer slide/barrel combo of at least 4 inches.
I have personally never had a problem with the 3.5 inch Officer's(had three, not counting the Para), but apparently such problems do surface. Since the hard part to conceal IWB is the grip, I do like the Officer's frame..but the slide is no big deal snce it is not visible.
I'll keep my Para, incase I need to have a DAO .45, and it makes a nice addition to the collection; but while allowed to carry what I want, the Colt CCO wlll be on my hip, on duty and off!

I'm carrying a Tac Four

at all times now and am quite satisfied with it. Whether the LDA design is a solution in search of a problem, I dunno. I just like the trigger, and I like all the carry features like bobbed hammer spur, shortenend beavertail, etc.

I like the LDA because of the bobbed hammer and beavertail it offers for carry. If I was going to get a full size one for range use, I would get a normal SA Para most likely.

I think the LDA is a solution to a non-problem and a much worse trigger than the P14, P13, P12, & P10 single actions had.

Oooh Cocked'n'Locked looks too scary! LDA is a solution I don't need.
It's a solution for a 1911 that LE's can use and not make anybody nervous. many PD's specify DA guns because cocked and locked is verboten. The LDA is an excellent "DA" type of trigger with a break that is very close to SA in feel.

I have (and carry) a Tac-Four. I like the mag capacity, I like the trigger, I like the sights, I like fact that it is configured for concealability, I like the reliability, and I like the fact that it fits all of my 1911-style holsters.

I had a TacFour for a while and it was unreliable. Lots of FTF and FTE. It may have been a lemon, but I got tired of messing with it. I replaced it with a P226R/40 to go along with my P239/40.
