Conversion Cylinder and Pietta Pepperbox Question

I'm curious about the cartridge conversion possibility for the Pietta Pepperbox 36 caliber Percussion revolver. Can a smooth bore revolver be legally converted to cartridges?

Are you sure that gun is a smoothbore?

Also, I don't know of anyone offering a conversion cylinder for these. Having one made would cost big $$$.

If it's a smoothbore, don't convert it to take cartridges. You'll have a short barrel shotgun and time in Club Federales.

Short barrel shotgun? .36 caliber smoothbore with no stock would make it an AOW. Same legal consequences though.
