So I love the looks of the Uberti 1858 New Army revolver with the 8" octagon barrel, and even the stocked carbine version of the same, and the price seems to be decent as well.

What I am asking here is who has used the drop-in conversion cylinders that allow you to shoot centerfire ammo? Is there a better brand, and are they accurate at all?

I know this is probably sacrilege asking such centerfire things in a BP forum, but I figured if anyone knew the answer, ti would be you folks.

Thanks,
Noidster

I have a Kirst Konverter for a 58 Remmy and it works very well function wise.

Accuracy (meaning group size, the sights on the thing suck) is better but I suspect that has more to do with the bullet than anything else.

Biggest problem is the conversion cylinders cost as much as the damn gun itself! :)
