Conversion cylinders, part 2

I like conversion black powder pistols for one reason alone. They're different. I don't want to have a Smith and Wesson just like everyone else, or a Glock just like everyone else. I want people to look at my gear and get curious.

Well, if there's someone out at the range when I whip out the Old Army and start makin' smoke, it generally gathers attention. :D There was an indoor range in a nearby larger town some years ago. I had the stainless Old Army then. Went in there and started smokin' the place up and they requested I abstain from the cap and ball. Oh, well, I guess you could gather attention with a conversion without getting run off from an indoor range, eh?:D

Tee Hee! Smokin up an indoor range, done it here myself! Was amusin! (Had four loaded up ready ta go, and emptied um all afor i was asked to leave)Tried tellin um was great for trainin as if you were shootin on a foggy night, they did'nt care! :)

Actually I asked if i could shoot BP indoors at my local gunshop. If I am the only one there(usually first one in on Sat. Mornings) I can untill someone else wants to shoot. . But I now load either Unique or Trail Boss(I like Trail Boss) so it isn't an issue, but all those folks with their autos, sure want to shoot the "old" guns.
I usually have folks standing around on their dime watching me shoot on my dime(we're all on the clock in the shooting range). I find the Conversions shot as well or mostly better than their auto's.

How can you miss at PB range with a Glock 40Cal?
I qualified witrh a deputy's S & W auto for my CCW, I had never shot the piece, had had one like it, but a few years prior. Had not fired a pistol in over a year, picked it up and fired an 89 at their ranges of fire.

I'll take my '58 Remmy conversions, thank you. Don't waste near the ammo...LOL
