Just do it

Don't try to sell your mom on the idea. She's your mother and she cannot make a logical decision in this regard. She will be ALL EMOTION.

Just do it. Follow your dream. She'll be proud of you in the end.

I joined the Army in 1984. I served with the 1st Ranger Bn., and later with the 7th Special Forces Group. I had a world of experiences and opportunities as a result of my service. If I had listened to my mother, I never would have accomplished anything.

dude, you realize that this thread is almost eight months old? i'm sure he's made his decision and he's probably off somewhere on a ship now makin' fun of squids.
Relax. I didn't check the the date of the original post. Someone else bumped it to the first page and then deleted his post...so now I look like the dick

Nevertheless, it was an interesting thread I think. I considered a career in the Medical Corps myself back when I was in med school. So the thread interested me. I still think there's lots of good info there.

Be well.
