I know they charge extra for the upgraded AA French walnut, but I think it is worth the cost from what I have seen. I just can't bring myself to use a nice wood stock because it makes me sick when one gets dinged or scratched.

I bought this one at Scheels for a lot less than sticker. That, together with a trade-in Savage is the only way I would shell out that much cash.

Some guns I shoot and others I don't. Cooper's aren't collectibles...yet. And I won't be around long enough for them to become collectible so, I'm going to enjoy shooting and hunting with this one. I like to admire guns while sitting on stand or riding to the next push or sitting in the bags at the range. And, I really enjoy shooting the accurate ones!

Not always, this isnt a Cooper but my Ruger with a nice chunk of walnut as it came from the factory. Here are some pics with different lighting.

Wow, that is one nice Ruger you have!

Is that one a Hawkeye? I have a Hawkeye that I just sighted in a few weeks ago and shoots clover leafs at 100 yds. I was truly impressed with it.

Wow, that is one fine Ruger stock. If it shoots half as good as it looks you'll have a winner. It looks like French walnut? Was it a special run that got extra nice wood?
