"New" doesn't always mean better. New sometimes means they were forced to remove the chemicals that actually worked, but were on EPA's ban list.
Case in point: Hoppe's #9 used to contain nitrobenzene . . . it doesn't any more.

I think Butch's does weaken as it ages, or that is my experience. Keep the lid nice and tight. The new batch I have been using is wonderful. Before I used all the old Butch's, I used to use it for carbon because it still worked really well for that and chase it with Sweets. With the new bottle, all I use is the Butch's.

hornady i think uses a softer copper. it builds up FASTER. but it comes out faster then what remington uses. cleaned two rifles today that uses remington, barnes, and hornady jacketed ammo. hornady was shot first. clean up was actually faster and more efficient then ive ever seen. used elite copper terminator. it actually worked.
