Correct Glock Sight Picture?

I usually either bought my Glocks with factory night sights, or put Meprolight three dot green night sights on them. Im so used to the three dots now, that I see them before I see a traditional sight picture. I dont start to transition to that sight picture, until Im shooting at 20, 25 yards, and then, I have to hold a little high to get hits where Im aiming.

With the couple of Glocks (42's) I have that have the dot and "U" type sights, I use the dot centered in the "U", ignoring the traditional alignment, and it works fine. Again, I dont start to transition to a traditional sight picture, until Im past 20 yards or so.

My experience with Glocks (and SIG's) with dot sights has been, they all shot to the dots, and not the top of the blade. Holding a traditional sight picture, always results in the POI being a little low.

I just ordered ameriglo cap sights for my g23 I really never liked the plastic ones that come
On them although they what their meant to do but I prefer to upgrade them

My god, those are both ugly and way oversized for the pistol.

That giant dude from the Jack & the Bean Stalk movie could pick his nose with that front sight.

In the eye of the beholder...

Not everyone has 20/20 vision, especially us old timers. Not everyone does all their shooting on summer days in broad daylight.

Do us a favor and post a picture of your guns so we can make fun of them.

When your eyes are 83 years old you need big sites and they work real well for me.

I have a Glock 41 and it is definitely shooting high. I am using the original factory sights. Any suggestions on sights that might correct this? Is anyone else experiencing this.

Glock has different height rear sights to deal with that, and possibly different fronts.

There may be a mark (s) on the side of the rear sight. Its an indicator of which height sight it is.

ETA: I googled glock sight height and this was one of the results.
