I usually either bought my Glocks with factory night sights, or put Meprolight three dot green night sights on them. Im so used to the three dots now, that I see them before I see a traditional sight picture. I dont start to transition to that sight picture, until Im shooting at 20, 25 yards, and then, I have to hold a little high to get hits where Im aiming.
With the couple of Glocks (42's) I have that have the dot and "U" type sights, I use the dot centered in the "U", ignoring the traditional alignment, and it works fine. Again, I dont start to transition to a traditional sight picture, until Im past 20 yards or so.
My experience with Glocks (and SIG's) with dot sights has been, they all shot to the dots, and not the top of the blade. Holding a traditional sight picture, always results in the POI being a little low.
