Prison Guard Union flexes political muscle
California Correctional Officers' Association uses political clout to have D.A. unelected. O.K., it's all fair in politics, but I'd wish they flex their muscle on the lawmakers and change some of the laws like our "2 hot meal" requirements for the "minimum jail standards." Better yet, change the liability laws in the state with regards to criminal.
Some counties like San Francisco is so hard pressed for $ that hot meal = soup. So, it's virtually sandwiches at all meals plus soup. Maybe they'll still git their grits or oatmeal for breakfast.
