Corrosion X or FP-10: Which is the better CLP? Which is best at "C", at "L", and at "P"?
Give your opinions, offer any experiences you have had with either of these two CLP products, any facts(Or test data, or links to tests done on these?)?
Cleaners and lubes I can get at my local shop rather than having to order them are what I use. So FP10, Breakfree, Eezox, Hoppes all win out over Corrosion X, because I've never even heard of it.
Haven't tried Corrosion X but I've used nothin' but FP-10 on my 1911's, lever rifles, shotguns, and revolvers for 2 to 3 years now and just love the stuff! Smells good and not particularly toxic either... I like that!
I've never tried it on my guns, but I have used it on my commercial salmon troller. It had superior penetrating abilities. It unstuck a frozen injector on my diesel that I had tried just about everything else to free it. I've since ran out of it and haven't bought anymore. (Spendy) I'm using a similiar product called "Corrosion Block" on the boat now. It works just as well in an marine environment.
