Hey all I was just wondering if prices have came down at all for ccw training required to get a ccw permit?

I'm hoping the classes are cheaper now so I can afford them.

I'm right smack dab in central ohio

Also if any of them do them on wednesday, thursday, or friday that would be good as I work 10 to 11 hours every day but those.

New Albany Gun Club on Columbus's NE side has a CC class that runs all day Friday. 12 hours in all:eek: . They also do 2-day classes in the evening all week long, and I believe they have a 4 day class as well. The whole day one was right around 170 IIRC.
Pretty nice range too.

The Powder Room in Powell, OH is holding classes -

The NRA Basic and the NRA Personal Protection class are $160.

They are offering a class with the additional info to get a Utah Non-Resident license for $190.

Thanks I will check that out. The other issue that I'm running into is that I work a job where I am not able to take time off from work and I work the weekends so that makes it kind of hard.

Don't forget about Black Wing Shooting Center outside of Delaware. Seems there all competitively priced at $150.

New Trainer

I will be getting my instructor certification this month. One of my goals is to be able to cut some cost in training and to provide individual training for people with difficult schedules to work around. It might cost a little more for one on one due to the time factor, but will still allow as many of you who want their CCW to get it.

Check back here later for more info on classes.

I can't remember the name of the place but it's in Lancaster, about a half hour south of Columbus. It's a shooting/outdoors place.Nice, clean place. Also, look at Gander Mtn. in Reynoldsburg.

I am doing mine this Friday with New Albany, and it is costing me a cool $200. If you do the 3-day course on a Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, it's $160. If you do the two-day course on a Saturday-Sunday, it's $180. And if, like me, you do it all on a single day (Fridays) it runs $200.

Not the cheapest place, but they have a nice facility, and they are about the nicest folks to deal with in central Ohio in my limited experience.
