Just stumbled upon a almost new Savage 110 Switchback in 6ARC. I considered barreling a Savage with a 6ARC from NSS but just couldn't pull the trigger on doing it. Already believing if this doesn't work out it will get a new barrel.

So this will be a new cartridge for me even though I already have tools and supplies to reload for it I have yet to do it. So anyone with experience loading this. Most likely will use 105gr bullets and powders I have on hand are Benchmark, TAC, A2460, BL2C and a friend has a bunch of RL15 he wants to unload. Has anyone tried any lighter bullets in the 87 to 95gr range? This is only going to be used as a short range target rifle.

I’m interested here. I just started shooting a 6ARC Savage Switchback in a Magpul stock. I hand loaded 107 Sierra Match King with LeveRevolution. Results were about 1 MOA at best. I’m going to try again loading another 0.010 closer to the lands with the same charges, now that I have my new Satern powder funnel.

I've read reviews and comments on the RL15 being rather temp sensitive which is probably why he is looking to dump it. I've seen some loads for the 2460 but again mostly for the mid-weight bullets in that 87-95gr range. Once the gun arrives I will most likely buy up a couple boxes of factory fodder to get a baseline and set up the scope.

I bought 5 boxes of factory ammo for the brass.

I already have about 250pcs of brass I was given from a friend. Looks as though Hornady is loading 103/105/108gr so that's a start. Also with new brass I can get a case measurements from this rifle before I start reloading.

LeveRevolution Is the best powder I’ve found for mine it’s a gas gun but yes I’ve loaded lighter bullets for it I just worked up a load for the 90 grain CX all copper Mono Bullet in mine that will be just dandy on whitetails around my parts

Minute of deer is not quite what I have in mind for this, but 3/4" dots at 300yds for scores is a whole-nother story.

Well the Shilen 24 inch 1~7 twist heavy barrel I put on it is a little better than minute of deer I shot this group at 200 yards just the other day lol

Week 4 Cold Bore_Kevin W.jpg
This is the target we all shot 3 weeks ago at 100yds. The very top sub-target is a Cold Bore and must be shot for score before any other shots, foulers or sighters.

This is this weeks target to also be shot at 100yds. last 5 are .5"dia.. Each dot must be hit before you are allowed to move on to the nest one from head to tail.

This one will be shot in a couple weeks at 300yds. any shot touching the yellow is not scored.

These are my targets shot with a 223. Of 22 members I rank in the middle of the pack. So this is what this rifle will be used for. Because of a disability I can no longer get out and hunt.

It finally arrived and is sitting on my bench. Have 2 different scopes and one won't fit the rail is too long and the other needs rings completely adjusted. Also with this rail the comb does not reach high enough for a good cheek weld.
