Constitutional Sheriffs sent an email stating, "I have added the names of the following 61 Florida County Sheriffs [who] joined the previous six Florida County Sheriffs to announce that they will not enforce laws that violate the Constitution or infringe on the rights of the people to own firearms." This means all of Florida's county sheriffs have now signed the pledge, the first state to achieve 100% compliance with the 2nd Amendment.

I kinda look at this as the current ICE refusal to pursue illegals whom had not commited a felony. I like the idea of :neener: :neener: in Biden's face.

Good on them, wonder if there's any way we can show our support? That being said, if AR's were made illegal today without registering them, would those same sheriffs all look the other way when they saw one in a car during a traffic stop? Because that's how they will be confiscated not from going door to door.

What about existing infringements like NFA restrictions, or requiring concealed carry permits?

That's the problem with these statements... maybe all it means is they won't take your beretta over/under shotgun, <s> which is all you need for home defense. </s> What about capacity restricting infringements?

Before anyone goes jumping on the sheriff's bandwagon (no matter what side of any question they're supporting or opposing...). You might want to consider that sheriff's, by and large, are elected officials - and there's a wide degree of different skill levels as far as actual policing goes in that world...

As a retired cop who moved up into middle management at the end of his career I'd be very cautious about unqualified support for a group of sheriffs. There are many fine professional sheriffs - but also enough of the "political" kind to give me pause. Of course, you'd never want me on any jury either....
