Cracked barrel in Glock 30s

Update: I talked to Glock earlier today. I know it a little soon but I was off work today and I just had to hear something. The tech told me that they were going to ship me a new pistol and it would be 2 to 4 weeks.

That's great service. I would have expected them to just send you a new barrel. Kudos to Glock.:)

Ok I got it now. I cant remember how it looked exactly. My eyes were drawn to the crack in the barrel. I do remember that the feed ramp did look a little odd though

My G30sf 3rd gen definitely does not have a feed ramp that looks like that! Is this the status quo for Glock now?

Sorry about the crack, that really is a bummer.

When something is made with frequency of "Kellogg cereal box" there is bound to be faulty one sooner or later

Ive never gotten a bad box of Frosted Flakes :)

S&W leads the industry with their free shipping for their excellent lifetime warranty support (to original owner, to be technic al ), but even they ask some questions before just mailing or emailing a pre-paid shipping label out each time some customer calls

Ruger was pretty dawggone good with my problemo i gota say

Its pretty irritating that they expect you to pay shipping like that. I bought a Mossberg 590 back in November. The thing was an out-of-the-box failure. It couldn't feed ammo at all. So I called Mossberg and they tried the whole "send it back and we'll fix it!" but I fought them hard on that. Eventually they capitulated and emailed me a prepaid Fed Ex label. 8 weeks later they sent it back to me and it still didn't work. I called again, and this time they gave me a prepaid label no problem. 8 weeks later, I got the gun back and it appears to work.

Springfield, on the other hand, is amazing. I *thought* I had a problem with my 1911. I called them up, they IMMEDIATELY emailed me a prepaid label. When I got the gun back, they had refinished it and polished the feed ramp, both at no charge. And, it turns out my original complaint (a wierd "chip" in the disconnector tunnel) was just a normal 1911 wear pattern. Springfield's customer service is par excellence.

One shouldn't have to pay shipping for warranty issues.

On my Model 21 duty gun I had the frame replaced and it is on it's third firing pin if I had another choice I'd take it!
