mister2 - about the Para
The Para that I have been thinking over is a single stack magazine. Karl Rehn and I had discussed the advantage of having a Para double stack but I don't like the bulkiness. I bought their top-of-the-line limited SS but wasn't satisfied. Funny, I sold it to the ignorant gun dealer that a mentioned previously for the same price that I paid! I babied the gun though, it was beautiful and I stripped it every time I shot it. It was a truly honest deal though.
At least before he puts his exorbitant markup on it. Maybe someone else will be happy with it. I suppose that is all that matters in the end.
I have been blessed with smallish hands. I suppose they are well suited if I was a surgeon but not for shooting a double stack 45.
I little of my reading is informing me that most people replace the standard 7 with 10s. So I guess that means that the magazine hangs out the end? That doesn't seem to be an issue just a comment.
Any input is gladly welcomed.
BTW: I would loved to find a US production 1911 with bells and whistles but my budget doesn't allow much. I liked the Springfield loaded model and some of the Kimbers but I would be broke for a year if I made such an investment.
