The industry i am employed in requires licensed individuals to undergo background and credit checks. I work for an Insurance office, and the companies we write business for all demand us to give out our information.
Now i had not qualms about getting this done for my CHL. And its great not having the NICS called in when you show your CHL. Merely possessing such can indicate to authorities that you are a 'good guy'.
Commit a felony, and the permit will be revoked, it must be handed in to LEO. No felon can obtain such. Just like an Insurance license. I had to get fingerprinted to obtain that, and go through a background check. If i commit a felony, the State department of insurance will have my employer send them my License.
So in essence, mere possession of the Insurance License should be sufficient evidence that I am a 'good guy', right?
Wrong. Here i am getting ready to fill out the forms yet again.
