I see CT is offering a $50 rebate through June 30. That makes one for the Kahr PM9 about $129. I think I may have to bite on that offer. Any one have any pros or cons on CT for the PM9?

I have a couple on my J Frames and like them.

I don't IWB or OWB with it but I may have to get Robert Mika to make me a pocket holster.

I didn't see your post until I was looking for my old one from a few days ago.

I have a P9 (same gun with a little longer barrel). The clam shell arrangement bites with recoil. I have an e-mail pending with customer service. It is not acceptable as it is now.

I get it for a tad cheaper through my wholesale but still unsure if I want to get it after reading a few reviews.

Thanks for the heads up. I never heard of that before.....the one I ordered arrived today, sitting in the box in my office. I would be interested to see what CT has to say. Might have to try some black silicone if this is true. I'm sure CT will make it right maybe they will trade even up for a 305 for one of my J Frames.

WILLIS, although everyone is entitled to their own opinion...yours is wrong, lol:D just kidding...The usefulness of a laser is beyond comprehension without ever being around one. I started with the same thought as you, now I have 4 Crimson Trace grips, and couldn't be happier. I encourage anyone to view the Crimson Trace DVD they offer, or try one before you knock them. My .02 worth is they are worth there weight in gold if ever in a situation that requires speed and precise sight acquisition :what:

I got around to installing the Crimson Trace on the PM9 today.

Certainly not a common battery, so note to self, "buy a couple of these odd ducks".

Installation went well, and accomplished in under 15 minutes including reading of both the manual and instructions.

I didn't encounter the gaposis Samari Jack experienced so there is an issue there somewhere. I don't see how it would be possible to do trigger finger damage with a proper fit.

Since it does force the hand down the grip by about an 1/8th of an inch I may look at adding a Pearce magazine extension.

Sent the $50 rebate paperwork in today so the net price was $120.

Off to the range one of these days.

This is my third CT and 4th laser overall. I have a Viridian Green on a M&p 40c.

Pics

Here is a recent photo of my PM9 with CT and Pearce grip extension.

I haven't ever been able to warm up to the PM9 as a pocket carry so I decided with the CT and full grip it would make a decent backup handgun for HD or possible truck travel companion.

Iv'e yet to range it out (next week).

Looks a little blockish now, but handles well.

Finally Got to the Range

An update.

I found a holster for the PM9 with CT grip, it's a DeSantis Gunhide ambi. The holster has broken in nicely. It's design for IWB and accomodates a spare magazine, it fits the PM9 very well and until I can find something better with adjustable cant it gets the job done.

Went to the range today and tried out the CT Laser Pointer and the Pearce magazine extension. I have been using this combination around the premises for three months as a PD entity so the holster and CT have become second nature for draw and pointing.

Shot 28 rounds of WWB bulk 115gr. The range does not allow exposed lead.

The PM9 and WWB operated without incident although the 115gr seemed more lively than the 124 grain I typically run in it. The fit of the CT Laser was excellent and the installation straightforward and not a complex task. There was no "bite" or pinch from the laser assembly.

No calibration was required of the CT. It was dead on out of the box. It made for a wonderful point and shoot experience and put forth accuracy I have not been able to attain without it in either point and shoot or with sights. At 7 yards all rounds were in a 5 inch diameter.

This is my third set of CTs, two on revolvers, and the PM9. I have a green Viridian/LED on a S&W M&P 40C.

I like the Pearce extension although if I were to go back to pocket carry with the PM9 I would remove them.
