I messed up on that other thread I meant which is better the Sig 238 or the Kahr pm9 for CCW, any pros and cons of either is appreciated.

Id go SIG, its smaller and I really dont care for DAO triggers like the Kahr has.

I would take the Sig, even though it is firing a smaller caliber, it is more controllable and very accurate compared to the Kahr PM9 that I have fired

There are several threads about the Sig currently. Some people (me included) have had problems with them, most, it seems, have not. It's hit or miss. Great shooting gun, very accurate, low recoil for a gun its size.
Mine was sent back to Sig twice and they are replacing it, seems to me that is something major. I'm not sure if I'll keep it. Sucks, I really liked the gun.

I have shot the Kahr.

Two simple points that few folks can disagree with when comparing the two of these guns.

1. The PM9 is chambered for a more powerful (and cheaper) cartridge...and is available in the budget CM9 version

2. The PM9 is an inherently a more reliable design than the P238

I have both, and when ever possable I carry the PM9. I can shoot both quite well for the intended distances of self defence, but IMO a 9mm trumps a .380, so I would rather have the nine. Although there are times when light clothing & hot weather make for carrying something a bit smaller easier. Then the .380 is in my pocket. LM

id go pm9 the 238 is one of the larger pocket 380s
if getting a larger pocket 380 why not jump to the 9mm
but something like a lcp or kahr 380 is enough of a size difference to justify the smaller caliber if you intend to pocket carry do a google image search the pm9 dwarfs the p380
