Crimson Trace - LG-305 or LG-405

Hi all, I'm looking at Crimson Trace lasergrips for my J-Frame S&W 649.. It looks like the LG-105 is made of polymer so thats out of the question. The gun fires .357 so I want something better to absorb some of the recoil. So what is the difference between the 305 and the 405? Just the shape? Which is shaped more like the original grips? Thanks.

Well I think the 405 adds some material on the back, as a cushion against recoil. That's what I have and it's a lot less perceived recoil than the stock grips! I can shoot +P's with no problem.
