I heard that pistol lights that are too bright can wash out a red dot sight for a pistol. Is the Crimson Trace Lightguard too bright and washes out the Trijicon RMR 01 making the red dot invisible? The RMR 01 is the non-adjustable model. You cannot manually adjust the brightness of the red dot. It automatically adjusts.
Thanks.
P.S. I don't want to buy the adjustable RMR because I don't want to have to fiddle with the settings if a bad guy is attacking me. This will be a setup on a concealed carry weapon. As I understand it, if you set it on manual, then you have to leave it on a certain fixed setting. So, if you set it on "bright" for your LIghtguard, then the battery won't last but several months instead of a year. So, if you have an adjustable RMR, then if you leave it on "bright" for your pistol light, then how long does the battery last? Thanks.
