Critique my AR plan

I've sold off my 16" 1/9 HBAR and have decided to head in a different direction.

I'm wanting a good high quality lightweight rifle. These components seem to fit the bill.

1. 20" CMMG lightweight 1/7 upper

Why 20"?

I'm wanting rifle gas length and the extra little umph from the extra length.

I'm planning on going down to 18" but it seems all the 18" barrels are in the heavier SPR contours.

I'm going to get the 20" run it for awhile and decide if I really want to chop the extra 2" or not.

I already have the optics, mags, and BUIS from the 16" upper. Just need a new upper to start blasting again.

It'll go on the Bushmaster lower my other upper was on.
