I recently posted to the thread about my wish list. On my list was a Ruger Gunsite 308, scout rifle. I let a good deal on one of these pass me by a little over a month ago and got a second chance at the same gun today. There was no way I was letting it get away again. I didn't have all of the money so I put $150 down. I should be able to get it within the month.:D Now I need the S&W M&P22, the Heavy barreled 308, Ruger 10-22 Take-down and, of course, More 1911's.:D

Good luck in getting your wishlist taken care of. The Scout Rifle sounds like a great start.

CZ, I just took a look at a Ruger 10/22 takedown, and it is very very nice.
It assembles/dissembles in a blink of an eye.

I'm actually completely out of ideas of what I want next...walked in and out of 7 shops and nothings followed me home.

The 10-22 TD or the M&P15-22

will probably be the next one followed by a heavy barreled 308 or 300 Win Mag.

My wish list has pretty much dried up. But, I would jump on a nice nickel plated Model 19-2 or earlier with a 4” barrel for a decent price.

Fella's;

Yeah, my wish list is pretty much non-existant at this time. More of a very mild wanna list. Maybe a stainless .45ACP with target sights, or a stainless GP100 4" full underlug for pistols. Rifles & shotties are not even on the event horizon at this time. For instance, I happened to go into Accu-Arms in Missoula last week & asked what they had in LH guns. He hauled out a CZ527 LH Lux in .223, a pretty rare beast! I fondled it, but it really didn't speak to me, & it still resides there as far as I know. Well, speaking of CZ's, I suppose I'd buy either a Scout, or a T/C hotshot for the grandkids if I ran across one at the right time, but I've got years before that's a real urgent need.

My wish list is pretty lofty.

I want a Savage 99 and a Remington Model 8/81...both in the same caliber. I know the 8/81 came in .300 Savage. Not so sure about .250 Savage. .250 would be my dream.

Add to that, a Russian Contract Winchester 1895 Musket in 7.62x54R!

Oh yeah...throw and HK P7 in there too!

still waiting on finding a new marlin XT-22MTW... come on remlin any day now
would also buy a used mint condition 983 or 883 instead but gave up on that

Tomorrow I'll be adding my first revolver to the stable... Ruger GP-100 .357, satin finish, 6" barrel. :)

Being retired, my wish list is of necessity pretty much complete, although I do have some cash set aside in case I can find decent prices on a few that haven't been on the market all that long and are thus currently going for more than I'm willing to pay.

I guess I should say what they are: Tavor, SCAR 17S, and KSG.

Your THR membership is revoked for gross negligence. There was at least one neglected gun in those shops that needed saving.

This Springfield long slide custom was one of my bucket list guns, just picked it up a couple weeks ago.

Nothing much else I want other than an express rifle in 45/70.

My last two took me into another caliber, .45acp.
A 1945, Colt National Match, 1911 and a Marlin camp .45, could not be happier with either.

Sadly, the used handgun market as slimmed greatly here.
One gun store sold 17 firearms, mostly handguns, to the new Gander mt. rep. from N.C.
Can't blame them, most had been gathering dust for quite a while.

On the bright side:rolleyes:, even though I'll pay a transfer, I'll save gas only going to one store in the near future.

Enjoy the search.

:scrutiny:

I dont know if its contentment or if nothing is really interesting me right now..

I recently crossed the Winchester M70 Extreme Weather off my wish list, where it has sat for a couple years. I'm kind of at a loss, all of my gun needs were long ago met, and now most of my wants are as well... I'll probably pick up a Marlin Guide gun, and a Browning BLR, but after that.....?

So, playing the devil's advocate here, do you have a nice 26" barreled 20 gauge O/U with an English style stock for upland birds? If not, you might be surprised at how easily you could get the itch for one.

Then there's the CZ452 .22's. There's darn near a whole website who's thousands of members refer to the place as "The Asylum" and themselves as addicts. Which is not to mention the Marlin 39 Club here in rifles. That single thread runs to over 173 pages & 4300 posts. Yeah, I'd say the model 39's have a following. Wanna join?

Hah, I don't think my wife would appreciate you waiving cake in front of the fat kid.. metaphorically speaking. I've actually never been that big into shotguns I have a semiauto 12, and I'll probably add a Mossberg 590, but after that, well it's hard to justify too many shotguns when i'm doing well to make a dove hunt every couple years.

As for the 452's, they are nice, but my 455 fills that niche right now. I really do need a Marlin 39, threaded for a can, they seem like the perfect suppressed 22 they are just too pricey for me to bite.

I was trying not to think about my list too thoroughly, but now that I am, I guess there really are a few more things on the old wish list:

Winchester M70 Safari Express .375 H&H
Cooper Model 52 or 54
Something in .270 Win (It just seems wrong not to own a .270)
Oh yeah, Marlin 39

There goes a couple more grand down the tube... I hope you're happy!

Gtscotty;

Forget the model 70 in .270, it's nuthin' more than the red-headed stepchild of the ought-6 anyway. Now if you want a model 70 that'll give you the thrill of the chase, (like you said, everybodys got a .270) go for the featherweight in 6.5X55 Swedish Mauser. They do exist, I've held one, but the bolt wasn't on the proper side of the action for me. It was a very sweet gun though.

Wish lists are pretty much useless for me, as soon as its completed, there is always another boomstick out there.

Sold my 92FS about 6 years ago, and I've regretted it ever since. It was a great range gun, tons of fun to shoot, and my students loved shooting it.

I finally bought it back, in the form of a mint 92F with Ed Brown target sights and some other accurizing upgrades. Also came with a half dozen pre ban high cap mags and a case of ammo. Score!

Got the 22LR Practice Kit for my Beretta 92FS in August after waiting about a year for berettausa.com to get them in stock.
