My wife recognizes the importance of guns and RKBA, will practice periodically, and will even go to gun shows every so often to see if there's something there that might suit her better. However she doesn't have the same level of interest that I do - or anything close to it.
On any given day at my local range there are far more men than women, all the employees are men, and it is rare to see a woman who isn't obviously in the company of a man (generally sharing a lane; something that it is rare to see two men doing). That's been the pattern I've seen in almost every class, match, or range day; even the one time I had a female instructor she was co-teaching the class with her husband.
I've had female friends who were interested in going shooting - but I've almost never heard them mention going on their own.
So, yes, I strongly suspect you're right about most members/posters here being male.
I'm also willing to be that if you substituted "football" for "guns" you'd get basically the same result. It is, however, a more pressing issue with guns since RKBA is more important than football (sorry football fans).
