Custom Baby Eagle grips for a good price?

I've searched this forum and Internet generally for good information on who might be able to create wood replacement grips for the Baby Eagle/Jericho in .45ACP. The factory grips are a little bit slippery, and the Pachy overgrip I have on there, though functional, makes the grip larger than I'd prefer.

There are some available grips for the gun in 9mm and .40S&W, but the screw position is different on the .45, making these incompatible.

I'm not too fussed about the wood species as long as it's sturdy and takes checkering well. Does anyone know of a source or a maker of these grips?

If wood grips prove unavailable, I'd happily consider rubber ones with the screw hole in the right place.

is that a large frame gun like a eaa witness as opposed to a small frame fun like a 9mm jericho or a cz75? if large, henning makes some really slim sexy aluminum grips.

It's what MR/IWI calls a semi-compact, with a 3.93" barrel. All the vendors who sell 9mm and .40S&W grips for these, including MR, specify that that won't fit the .45ACP.

As I recall, semi compact means fullsize frame and compact length barrel. you might try eaa and see if the checkered walnut grips for the witness limited might fit it.

I went through this dilemma a while ago when I sought wood grips for my Jericho. From what I recall, the grip screw location on the .45 Jericho/Baby Eagle is in a completely unique location to all the other caliber/patterns INCLUDING the witness .45 large frame.

I managed to find one person who claimed to make wood grips for the Jericho in .45 . His business was called "Klamath River Woodworks", I just looked briefly and it seems his site isn't around anymore. At any rate, I ordered his grips and was impressed with the quality of the wood and finish, but as for the fitment, I was relatively unimpressed:






The grips as you can see fit very poorly and were pretty thick on the frame of the gun. I contacted him and he was gracious enough to refund my money. Apparently what had happened is he had changed his set up and needed a .45 frame to start from scratch with the grips. I didn't want to send him my frame, so thats where it ended.

The aftermarket scene for the Jericho is pretty barren, unfortunately. And the .45 cal version sees even less of this market, however with their re-importation by Magnum research this might change *fingers crossed*

You might want to try Hakan Pek, he is well known for his custom work, and does plenty of CZ pattern guns. Perhaps if enough people ask him about the Jericho he'll make a set!

It is a shame there's so little aftermarket for such a great pistol.
