At the bottom of the site it says, "We will be out of the gun business by October". He gave up on the whole thing and is going to retire.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but he's going out of business and the blame game has started.

it seems a few ingrates/malcontents have caused him to close.

if you go to guns4u.net he has a link to fsn that trys to explain why he sold out.

what happens when all the old farts pass away that were once loyal customers? Not only did he lose his customers but he killed any chance with potential customers. I usually wanna see local shops succeed, but I can honestly say I hope he goes out of business before 2007.

Glad to see my predictions are correct :D

Most retailers assume that unplanned purchases will account for between 30-50% of total sales. I guess he missed that one.
There are many reasons behind the decrease in the number of independent gun stores...but from my experiences, poor owner/employee attitudes has GOT to be a big factor.
I can sorta understand a 17 year old grocery store clerk having a poor attitude, but I've run into gun store owners and clerks who's arrogant and insulting attitudes totally baffle me.

I wish I could find a place to shoot for only $100.00 year, I pay either $6.00 or $12.00 per hour depending on day of week:confused:

I would of payed for the membership, used the range and purchased my guns elsewhere if his prices were high. Plus he states he's the only local range which allows full auto or rapid fire. I guess you don't know what you have till it's gone.

Thats complete BS. If he is that proud of his prices and really doesn't want looky-loo's, he should just close up shop and sell guns by appointment. Luckily for me, my local gunshop (Jensens Arms) provides pretty good service, and as a result, I try and stay pretty loyal to them. If they start charging me to look (which is very, very unlikely to happen), that would immediatly end any association that I have with them.
