I just came across a CVA Philadelphia Derringer kit while helping my mom clean out her attic. The kit belonged to my dad and I would like to put it together the kit as a memorial to him. We put together a Kentucky pistol together when I was young but have not dabbled since. The kit seems to be complete but is missing the assembly and shooting instructions. If anyone has these documents and would be willing to share I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

I have one of those. I paid I think $19.95 for it a very long time ago. I have fired it several times and it is just fun. I only load it with 10-15- or 20 gr FFFG powder, tops. The barrel is so short I think the extra powder is a waste and is possibly still burning by the time the ball leaves the barrel... diminishing returns.

I have one I put together. There aren't many parts and it's straightforward. I never bothered to put a front sight on mine and it probably doesn't matter. The barrel is a Jukar and overall it's a fun thing, not a serious weapon.

My lack of admiration for its quality has stayed constant throughout the years.

Wrong. The fact that you can't reliably take out the center of the ace of spades from 20 feet does not disqualify it from being able to kill you.
