I've been reading an awful lot about the Lincoln assassination as of late, and I've developed a hankering to get my hands on a replica of the Philadelphia derringer that delivered the fatal shot. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I've seen a few Spanish copies that don't look very authentic, and I understand CVA used to make a kit.

What's available these days?

Thanks, Dawg! The CVAs resemble the original (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Booth_deringer.jpg), but I'd like to come even closer if possible. The original was a .44, which used .41 round balls as I understand it, and has pretty nice checkering on the grip. It even had left-twist rifling, though that it isn't important to me.

I suspect you're right, and I'll wind up with the CVA, so I appreciate your post!
