Hello All
My Kahr CW9 is the gun and one of the mags will drop out when i hit the mag release but the other mag will just stay in the gun.
I wanted to know if there is anything i can do? Are others with same gun having any problems like this?
the gun has 650 rounds through it without one failure to function properly, well not counting the mag drop thing.
both are kahr factory mags.
thanks alot for any info.
regards

I have had that happen, and found it's not uncommon.
There seems to be some variation in the mag width at the transition area where the the side flat meets the wrap around radius of the front of the mag.
In fact my troubled mag developed a shiney line were it was rubbing in the mag well.

If you have no way to measure and find the high spot the shiney line should intentify it.
I suggest you rework/work the mag and not the gun!
Most times, just stoning the high spot off the mag will fix this.
The only down side is the mag will no longer have a uniform overal finish.

Kahr may swap you for another mag, call them.
CWs come with only one mag so if you bought the extra mag from Kahr direct, they may be more willing to swap.

DO NOT send the gun back, you do not want the mag well modified in any way.
If one mags works, I can't believe it's the gun.
I hope this helps you and come back and tell us how you made out.

Edited to add: I have found that spraying the mag, inside and out with silicone spray helps a lot in this situation, also.

I've got 3 Kahrs and a bunch of mags. Some drop, some don't. Never gave it much thought because it doesn't really bother me.

Has to be variances in the mags, but there could be a small polymer burr inside the well. I'd look real good with a light and glass. Put a glass on the mags, too looking for subtle variances, especially around the catch cavity. Might be a slight bend/nick there.

When new, my CW9 dropped the mag about 80% of the time with the one factory mag it came with. I polished the magazine to an almost mirror shine and it hasn't been a problem since.
If you look down the mag well you will see two lengths of raised plastic on both sides. The magazine is dragging on those. Another way instead of polishing the magazine as I did or oiling
it as said above would be to gently press the metal in on the magazine where it rides on those plastic raised lines inside the well. Another option of course is to lower those raised plastic
areas by sanding them down. Even after polishing my magazine it still rubs the magazine enough to scratch four faint lines down the length of the magazine. It also could be rubbing on the
magazine where it's welded on the back. I would just polish that sucker up and be done with it as that's the least amount of material taken off if you do any modifying. Also it looks nice and
shiney and is easier to clean after it gets burnt powder on it.
