Thats not quite as scary as when she was elected the second time. :what:

The center of her district is what many in the Atlanta area consider to be the armpit of Metro Atlanta. Many self proclaimed "victims" that buy into her stunts. BTW - I am a Black American, so hold the flames please. She managed to even lose much of her base there.

I will confess that I was in the same high school class with her, even hung out with friends over her house playing pool on her dads (very nice) table .

Back then she was a nice, book smart girl. I considered her a good friend, especially when she would help my dumb a** with homework. But even then, it was obvious that she had the common sense of a barbie doll. I was shocked when she ran, let alone got elected the first time. After that she slowly lost my respect for all the obvious reasons. Traitors should be prosecuted amd rendered the appropriate punishment. However, in some ways I am sorry she lost. She was the conservatives best help mate on capitol hill!

McKinney's defeat does not mean that the Dems are beginning to break with people who "think like her."

The only, and I do mean ONLY reason that McKinney lost this primary race was because of her cop-slapping incident of late.

It was the proverbial straw for the proverbial camel's proverbial back.

Remember, this was McKinney's SECOND time in the office.

From what I understand about the majority of her district that sent her to congress in the first place, assulting police should have been a plus in her favor.

Why do you say that? Because her constituents are black?

We have some here in Ohio who are as deserving: Kapur, Kucinnich, Tubbs, Voinovich, DeWine, Brown (unfortunately one of the latter will be our contribution to the Senate).

I'm from the 4th district and everyone is breathing a lot easier since she's been defeated. The bottom line is that almost any minor elected Democratic official in Dekalb County GA with a little name recognition could have beaten her, Hank Johnson just happened to step up to the plate and was in the right place at the right time.

In the local newscast last night she and her people got into a fistfight with reporters and drew blood because they just didn't like the reporters who were covering her campaign. The cops had to be called to break it up. Of course she blamed her defeat on the media, "outside" influences, electronic voting machines and various other voting irregularities.

Not to mention that her "people" the new black panthers..seems they dint like jewish folks too much...and told the press to put their yarmulkes on...there were several other references to jews that were inflamatory...but I'm sure you wont see any outrage by the press, or hollywood..and surprising from any jewish leaders.

you do the math

mel g. + drunk = antisemite
cynthia + sober = victim
cynthia + stupid = victim
new black panthers + not republican and/or conservative = victim

and for extra credit:
seattle shootings/terrorist attack + jewish victims = n/a (lack of reporting in MSM media)

One of our contract workers went to work with the Nader campaign in 2000.

IIRC, Nader got a couple of percent of the vote . . . votes that would otherwise almost certainly have gone to Algore and tipped the election his way.

When the contract worker returned, I shook his hand and thanked him for helping to elect Bush.

If you look around this forum and others frequented by people who claim to value a right to keep and bear arms, you'll see a great many of them vowing to vote for independent candidates in upcoming elections. They aren't any better at electoral arithmetic or tactics than that contract worker. :)

Shame about Joe Lieberman. As Democrats go, he is pretty sane. I just couldn't listen to the man talk for very long. He sounded like a sleepy Elmer Fudd.

Now when I heard the news about Cynthia, it made my day. Still kind of jazzed.

Her departure from the house of Representatives will raise the collective IQ, I would estimate, 15 points. Now if we can get Jim McDermott (WA State) to step down (or get replaced), that would raise the collective IQ another 20 points.

I read today where Cynthia McKinney fell victim to the 'ABC' factor. Anybody But Cindy.

You can thank W's dad for that.
The GA House of Representatives drew her district in 1991, with the endorsement of the Black Caucus.
Cynthia McKinney (then a member of the GA House, along with her dad) flew up to DC to meet with Justice Department, to say that even though the GA Black Caucus endorsed the plan, it was still a "racist" plan b/c it didn't maximize black voter strength. In truth, it gave blacks a sizable minority in enough districts to determine the outcome of many an election; instead Cynthia asked them to put almost all the state's black population in one district carved especially for one candidate- her. The GHW Bush White house was so happy to hear that, because by putting all the black votes in one seat, they could give away one seat to gain many. So they carved out a district that was so racist, it put almost every black neighborhood in GA in one district. Cynthia campaigned hard, and became a Congressman. Most of the black members of the GA State House were appalled, b/c they new it was bad for them and for the Democratic party.
The district lines imposed by the GHW Bush Justice Department were so racist they were thrown out in court a few years later. But it didn't matter. By then, almost every white Democrat was voted out of GA's Congressional delegation, and were replaced by Republicans (the demcorats voted out included Buddy Darden, a friend of the NRA. The NRA betrayed him and endorsed and funded Bob Barr). And Cynthia was now an incumbant. She was still rewarded with a heavily black district, a very corrupt district run by a corrupt black preacher, "The Bishop Eddie Long" (Eddie Long's church hosted Corretta Scott King's funeral; his congregation bought him a Bentley and pays him several million dollars year).
So Cynthia screwed her own people, and her own party, in order to be elected.
And she will be back, mark my words.
And that anecdote is one of the many reasons I am happy to be in Alabama.

I think she may be finished this time. If Johnson does at least a fair job. Most of the "experts" are saying she will have a hard time coming back as she is now a two time loser that was beaten by a very large margin in the runoff including losing a big part of her base support . It will now be very difficult for her to raise substantial campaign dollars, plus the Democratic party does not want her name on the hill. She may try again, but unless the competition is VERY weak, I think she has no hope. She will likely end up taking a social science professor job at a very liberal univesity. She does not have a strong professional career history to fall back on. I don't even think most of her base wants any part of that "New Black Panther" and associates crap. But, you will likely still hear her mouth flapping every now and then.

he has a pretty savvy legal/political mind.

If your talking being savvy enough to get away with criminal homicide in killing MJ, and getting those dain bramaged individuals in Mass to keep re electing him then your correct.

Other than that he and his family have been an embarrassment to the human race the same as Cindy and have done absolutely nada while sucking at the public trough.

I just watched the video of McKinney's defeat on CNN. Can you believe what a sore loser McKinney and her staff are! One of the staffer's started to make anti-Israeli statements and were swearing on TV. I don't live in DeKalb county but I am glad that her and her racist staff are no longer in office. Good by and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

She should be able to find a spot teaching at a local women's college(Spelman or Agnes Scott) that specializes in anti-American, anti-male, anti-establishment propaganda right after she finishes her book about how the Jewish malefactors, Uncle Toms and various other right wing agent provocateurs undermined her reelection.
