I made the mistake of stopping in at a local gunshop "just to look around" and ended up coming home with a shiney new CZ-40P. For those not familliar with this model it`s a limited production hybrid of a CZ-40 slide assy. on a PO-1 compact alloy frame. As soon as I picked it up I knew it was a must buy. The fit and finish are very good. I`ve heard the triggers on some 40Ps weren`t as good as CZs usually are but this one is pretty good. Not as good as my 75B but I`m betting it`ll smooth out even more like the 75B did. I was pleasantly suprised to find that it included 2 plastic snap caps with replacable hard rubber "primers". Nice touch CZ! I haven`t had a chance to shoot it yet but the factory test target shows just over 3" ar 25m. My 75B showed about the same but shot better after it was broken in. I`m hoping this one will too. The one thing that bugged me about the gun was the chunky light rail. CZs are generally slim and svelt. I can`t see any reason to make them thicker...*unless* you have a light to mount to it...so I bought a Streamlight M-3 with it. So far I love this combo. If all works 100% it`ll probably displace my 75B as my house gun. Pop the light off and slap in a Promag flush fit mag as I can easily CCW it too. More to come after I get some ammo through it. Marcus
