Thanks mav. 455 could be a winner. Do you know anything about the new semi-auto coming out this year?

NP, don't know much about the semi, other than it is called the 511 and is rumored to cost less than the current 452 (which model and how much less I don't know).

Hey Mav, the new CZ semi-auto is supposed to be labeled the 512, it has an alloy receiver, polymer frame utilizes the 'no tool' take-down design and is offered with a Beechwood only stock. It is due to be released mid year,as told, sometime in May.

It will be offered in 22LR and 22MAG.

No info. on cost as of yet.

Oops, yeah it is the 512, the only thing I have heard about the cost is that it will be less than the 452/455. Personally not too interested as I have all the semi .22LRs I could ever need (which is why the 10/22 turned into a .17HM2).

Wont be long, one of theme are going to make the whole thing out of plastic...wait, Magnum Research does already, or did...? Their 22 auto pistol, IIRC was all polymer with the exception of some internals and the barrel liner!

If the 512 shoots anything like the 511 I am going to buy a couple and sell my 10-22. The 511 is one of my all time favorite semi auto rimfires. They shoot darn near as good as the 452 models do, if not equal. For how impressive the 452 is, the 511 is more so. If that 512 can perform like the 511 I know what my next purchase is going to be.

TechSIGHTs now makes their excellent peep sights for the CZ 452.

I have the trainer. I like it a lot...it rarely misses a range trip...

Plastic? Ahhhh, that's too bad - I thought the new semi was gonna be wood. Had my interest piqued momentarily. It sure LOOKS nice on the website.

Well, I guess that leaves that new American 180 AR .22 upper as the only semi .22 I'm still wanting.

The Czech's get all the good toys...some models on that site not offered for US sale, darnit!

Avenger: Thanks for letting me know that Techsights has sights for the CZ452. I had no idea!!

I have them for my 10/22 and just placed the order for my CZ as well.
