CZ-70

Several years ago I purchased a "like new" CZ-70 at the Valley Forge Gun Show near Philly. It sat around and didn't get much use, although it is a nice looking little pistol. Kind of looks like a Walther PPK. So recently I started shooting it at the range and am pleasantly surprised by the reliability and excellent accuracy of this pistol. I can regularly shoot 1 1/2" groups from a bench at 25 yards. The .32 ACP is not the best round for concealed carry, but have been thinking of utilizing it for a regular carry gun. It is a nice size and is a natural pointer. It is also an all steel mil-surp which appeals to me.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you can conceal it well, it carries fine and you are accurate with it, go ahead and carry it.

Remember the .32ACP was the standard issue LE cartridge in Europe for over 60 years (1900-1960s).

Other than the fact it's .32, and mine had a super stiff trigger, I loved mine. I only got rid of it to get a 9mm Mak FEG

I've only handled, never fired, CZ 50/70s. They are indeed solid guns at reasonable prices. Personally, they feel a bit wide in the grip for their cartridge, but that's just me and if true, could help their shootability. If it were mine, I'd be careful of the hammer drop notch on the safety. It's prone to wear and can cause malfunctions, like the CZ 52 pistol. Carry it cocked and locked shouldn't be a concern. I'd like to get one, but my Beretta New Puma makes the 50/70 redundant. As if that's a problem!

There is always a better, bigger gun. I have a Glock 26 that works great and would do any job required, but it just never grew on me. I appreciate your input and might put this little CZ into service.
