I shot the CZ 75 PO1 in 9mm and loved it, but I'm looking for something with a little more power for my next carry piece. Does anyone have any experience with the Compact .40? It looks like a .40 version of the PO1. My concern is that not all guns that are great in 9mm are also great in .40. The Walther P99 comes to mind, from everthing I've heard.

I have one and the P-01, and I like it alot. Note that there are some people who have had failure to feed issues with them, but mine has been pretty much flawless from the get-go.

The P-01 is my primary carry gun, but the .40 Compact had filled that duty, too.

I don't notice much, if any, additional muzzle flip or recoil with the Compact .40 and I'm guessing it's because the Compact .40 is about 6 oz heavier than the P-01.

Do you find the extra weight makes much difference when you are carrying?

I'm kind of torn here. I want more power, but I'm also attracted to the lighter weight ad cheaper ammo of the 9mm.
