Should I go with a second 1911? I already have a Les Baer. Or should I go buy a CZ 75 and get a 9mm. What do y'all say guys?

Do you have any other 45's or 9's?

I would probably go with the CZ since you already have a top notch 45. Unless you shoot a lot of 45 and don't want to run it all through the Baer.

IMHO, the natural progression would be from JMB's classic 1911 to his wonder nine the Hi Power. The CZ75 is a wonderful platform though, don't get me wrong.

Well I have other 9mm's and it's just so cheap. 45 is so expensive but i do enjoy shooting it. And 9 is a good plinking round.

CZ-75

There are too many nice guns out there to have multiples of any one model.

I own an 1911, and have shot a CZ-75. The CZ is much easier to shoot well and is more comfortable, both to hold and to fire.

If you like 45s, get a CZ-97, and you may just swear off 1911s.

One should always have two 1911s. One to look at often and shoot occasionally and one workhorse to tinker with and really learn the platform.

You need a beater (or just something that isn't a $2000 Less Baer) 1911.

If I were in your position... Les Baer 1911, and several 9mms... I would personally move on to something else. I'd consider those bases pretty well covered. Maybe invest in some reloading equipment, or such. That's just me, however.

BETWEEN the two of them, it would really depend on what other 9mm handguns I had. If I didn't have any 9mm similar to a CZ-75 (DA/SA with manual safety for condition 1 carry), I'd go for it. If I did, I'd probably go with the 1911 since I just love 1911s. A less expensive one, maybe even a cheap beater like the RIA 1911A1 GI that I keep mentioning to shamelessly promote the webshow episode I did on it. :D

CZ all the way, but if you are a .45 guy look at the 97B.

Same CZ quality, and accuracy is way above a CZ75 for the most
part.

If not, then a 75B or SA will suffice.

best of luck with your eventual CZ purchase and entry into the big world of CZ.

Hope to see you on the CZ boards.

Get a CZ, a Shadow variant if you can afford to... It'll be everything your Baer is and more with a lot less drama.

If you are like most of us, someday you will have a BHP, CZ75, and several 1911's. It is inevitable. So, get whatever strikes your fancy, and be patient. And save up for the next one. You will enjoy them all. Unlike all the members of the opposite sex that you will be attracted to, you can purchase and keep the handguns that you are attracted to. :D
