I took my PCR to the range for the first time today and ran 160 rounds through it. The gun performed flawlessly, as one would expect from a CZ, easily spitting out a mix of cheap brass- and steel-cased 115 gr ball ammo along with 124 gr Remington Golden Sabers. I shot at a couple of silhouettes and was able to keep rounds in center-of-mass at four and six yards.

For your amusement, I provide the following image of some circle targets I shot at. You can see I'm no crack shot. I don't get to the range much and have only shot pistols once in the last year, and it's obvious I need practice. I tried various stances in an attempt to get my groupings better centered. Almost all of my groups wound up a little low and left. The lower left group I shot from a rest, so it looks like I will need to take along a hex key on the next trip and drift the rear sight a little left. Hopefully it won't be a year from now.

I will say that I agree with comments that others have made regarding the dubious quality of the stock sights. I found the front green dot difficult to pick up, so I will probably upgrade the sights at some point. Still haven't made up my mind on a holster, but leaning toward either a Black Arch Protos-M or an IWB from Alex Boriqua.

Looking forward to more range time and improved groups!

Not bad shooting at all. I have a couple of PCR's. Both have fiber optic fronts and flat black rears from the CZ Custom Shop. I tried the Dawson fiber optic front with fiber optic rear set up at first but didn't like it.

I prefer leather and have a Sparks VM 2 for IWB and a TT Gunleather High Ride Snap for OWB.

I would have someone else try shooting the gun before changing the sights.

Nice shooting; I am confused on the rear sight drift

If my understanding is correct, and the gun is in fact aiming left, then moving the rear sight to the left should fix the problem. But I am going to do some trigger slap/jerk drills and do at least another range session or two before I fool around with any hardware issues.

Move the rear sight to the right if you’re hitting left.

Rear sight moves the direction you want your group to move. (Shooting left, move right). Front sight moves in the opposite direction. (Shooting low, lower the front)

Moving the rear sight left will move your group further left.

You have to think of it as your eye is the third point in the equation. If you move the rear sight (middle point of the three) to the right I causes the front of the rifle to move to the right.

Beings as how you don’t get out to shoot very much, I would suggest getting some 9mm snap caps. Do a lot of dry firing. It will help with the fundamentals.

Seven High, that's my plan. Gonna try the balance-an-empty-case-on-the-slide drill, too.
