I had a CZ 75 that had some issues. Below was from a previous thread:

Following comes from 2 CZ Warranty Logs:

1st DEFECT/COMPLAINT
Failure to Fire (hammer would not drop)

DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR
Firing pin block lever was getting caught. Milled out ejector block where firing pin block lever was getting pinched. Beveled sear to help with hammer release.

2nd DEFECT/COMPLAINT
HAMMER FALLS BUT IT LIGHT STRIKES 2ND TIME IN

DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR
Replaced hammer, Beveled disconnector, installed RAMI Firing Pin Spring, Test Fired Good.
I then took the pistol to the range, where it suffered more light strikes.

I wasn't sure how that the CZ Customer service was going to react to my call. I didn't want to have to ask for a new pistol, but at the end of the day I had one of the very few problem guns that they had put out.

I didn't have to even ask. Matt in Customer Service told me immediately that they would simply replace the pistol. Fed Ex label sent via email (like the other times). Approximately 10 days later Fed Ex delivers a brand new 75 Compact.

Just wanted to share my experience. I bought the CZ based on the company's reputation and forum views. I will buy CZ again for not only the product, but the solid customer service backing their firearms. Philoe

Done Like it Should be Done

You just sold a CZ pistol for them - my next will be a CZ just because of their treatment of you.

Unless you are a shill for CZ (ONLY JOKING:D), they are doing Customer service right. I have had first hand experience with a high-dollar domestic 1911 manufacturer that could learn something from CZ.

Good on ya!

I've got a bunch of carry gun options but there's just something about my 75BD. Sizable gun but doesn't feel all that big on my hip. Great shooter too!

My CZ repair experience is less than stellar. Flat out failure actually, with multiple guns.

Every time, gun came back with "no issues found".

Chris in VA,

Have you considered the idea that maybe there weren't any issues? :) Seriously though, details would be nice instead of a blanket 'CZ-suck-Get-Off-My-Lawn' response.

Posted this a few times, but why not again.

75bd. Bad issue with FTE, spent shell gets jammed against case mouth of incoming round. Sent to CZ($$$)..."no issues found". New extractor, new +10% mag springs, nothing works.

Fix: MecGar magazines and taper crimp all rounds.

CZ 527 carbine. Rounds get jacked up in the magazine at a 45 degree angle, preventing feeding. CZ asks for old mags, sends me new ones. Same issue with new mags.

Fix: Burr found inside the mag where the hole was stamped. Dremel it off, no more problems. CZ refuses to hear my solution.

Another problem still unsolved, light primer strikes. Gun is designed to work with steel case ammo, yet it won't pop the primers. Also has problem with CCI primers, will try Federal next time. CZ sent me a new pin spring, but doesn't help any.

CZ Kadet. Firing pin retainer plate decides to slide off, sending the spring and pin flying behind me into the dirt. When the pin is struck, nothing retains the plate.

CZ sent me a new spring, so far no more issues. So at least they got that one right.

Don't get me wrong, I *love* my CZ's. But they're like kids...they can test your patience.

chris in VA:

Did CZ seem to be trying to help?

Or, did the variously imply (or state) your stupidity, or your ignorance, or that maybe even you didn't deserve a CZ?

If the company is working with me, I am basically patient. But when the first words out of Customer Service rep's mouth clearly imply my ignorance, I tend to be seized up with terminal buyer's remorse....

My only experience was avg. The first person I spoke to blew me off. They told me the fact that the metal stays gauging the alum frame of my P01 was normal.

CZ-P01-damage.gif

They refused to do anything about it.

It took 3 emails and 3 calls finally getting to a supervisor who sent me a new step of grips, a mag and a range bags but would not fix the gun.

Oh well I guess it could have ended worse.
