Hello again guys. First I have not been able to get back into my own thread to post as I am using MAC Book Pro and there is some issue with Apple products. Had to download google Chrome to post to my own thread. ** Thank you mods for your assistance **
I hope to shoot my SP01 soon. I finally found some Federal HST147 back in stock at SGAmmo for a good price and ordered it. If the stars and planets line up right I hope to shoot it this weekend. I appreciate each persons response and thank you for your input. I called CGW and spoke to Scott about a couple of changes I would like to make. At a later date I may send the gun in. I mainly want to lighten the trigger pull on single action but especially DA. The other thing is I would like to change out the standard ambi safeties with the wider safety CGW offers. I don't have my notes in front of me at the present but I think Scott suggested his 'pro package' to lighten up the SA/DA pull. Would the consensus here be that is the best way to accomplish the lighter trigger pull?

My local rip off center that starts with a capitol C had two of them under glass. I was tempted to handle them, but I just bought a gun, and every time I handle a CZ I realize it is way too small for my hands. I need super chub grips on it.

Still though, maybe in the future......... The ergos are great on CZs and the trigger does it for me.

Just curious as to if you have handled the SP01? The reason I ask is because it is a fairly large gun that might work for you.

I have not. I assumed that it was the same size grip as a CZ 75B which is too small. Is that a wrong assumption?

I have only handled the SP01. It has an 18 round mag and I just ' assumed ' it to be a little bigger. The SP01 is a little difficult to find I just lucked up the other day at the LGS. The gun feels great in the hand . I have average hand size and the slide reach is a bit of a stretch but I can always use my left hand thumb or sling shot the slide. If I shoot the gun well I will be a new CZ fan:)

If the guns does not shoot well, it won't be the guns fault.....;)

Crimson Traces Lasers. Do you know if any CT 'Instinctive Touch' lasers made for other guns will work on a SP01? I know they have the Universal but that does not have the Instinctive touch and since this will be a HD handgun I would rather not have to reach for a button to turn on the laser.

You actually don't have to reach for the button, aka switch. With the Crimson Trace CMR-203 or CMR-206 (206 is a bit more compact than the 203 on my P-01 above) your trigger finger is either on the switch, or on the trigger. If you handle the gun in what's normally considered the safe manner -- that is, with your finger off the trigger but along side the trigger -- your finger will be more or less on the switch when it's not on the trigger.

The "switch" by the way, is either of the two wing-looking things that extend rearward (one on each side) toward the front of the trigger guard. I love how the CMR-203 and 206 work on CZs.
