cz sp01 phantom reviews, anyone?

hi good day to all. has any one here tried or tested the cz sp01 phantom? How did it perform? I have surfed the net and I just could not find any full reviews about its accuracy, reliability, performance, effect on recoil because of the lighter weight, muzzle flip, etc. Is it good for competition and self defense? I am choosing among the different variants of sp01. I'm partially leaning towards the phantom because of the lighter weight and the price is cheaper than the shadow and tactical. I'm just concerned about muzzle flip and recoil of polymer framed guns. Should I be? Also I just don't know if it shoots like the shadow or the other steel frame variants of sp01, which are known for its accuracy and targer reacquisition for double taps. Thanks.

thanks armored man for your reply. i'll just take my chance with the phantom. it just feels more right in my hand. i guess i'm lucky that the phantom is available in my country. I visited cz's website and I found out that the phantom won an award. Also I learned that the sp01 tactical from which the phantom is based from also won an award. Anyway when I do get the gun, I'll just post my layman's review.

Ya, at 25 ounces, it is the max for my weight requirements in a pistol.

Would be Ok for winter carry I guess.

Hope they can import it and also the new XXX pistol, too

I would like to share a brief review of the phantom made by vdudak. He has a youtube video showing him shooting the phantom and shadow. anyway here's what he said about the phantom:

"Hi the accuracy, recoil is the same as for standard metal frame models. Shadow's trigger is a bit better and accuracy is also higher then Phantom, at least in my case, I just shot Shadow better than Phantom. Phantom is just very good lightweight standard service pistol. Considering the price is almost same for both, I would prefer Shadow which is more tune from factory."​

i think with a little tweaking, the phantom can even outshadow the shadow. weighing just 800 grams and with recoil and muzzle flip just about the same as the steel variants, i believe the phantom will be the new king of production division in ipsc....

or maybe i'm just justifying myself for purchasing the phantom and still agonizingly waiting for it up to now.

anyway the tweaked phantom: notice the fo frontsight and the competition rear sight and hammer. maybe he could have changed the trigger also into a cz 85c trigger.

that shadow/phantom stuff has always intrigued me. as long as they make a 40sw version, i'd be game.
