Yes

The SP01 Tactical is the TOL in the CZ75 series. Max capacity (18+1), Tactical night sights, accessory rail and rubber grips vs plastic. It is amazing how accurate and easy to shoot this gun is.

The Canik is a very close copy true minus the extras listed above. But while it looks the same, I cannot tell you it shoots the same. Recoil being one thing and also, the CZ trigger is pretty incredible. The Canik is really a CZ75 clone, not the SP01.

For just under $100 more, you can get a real CZ75.

KGC has some great CZ deals

And

You could also get one of these for the same price

They did a nice jobs cloning physically though

ohbythebay

Love the looks of your SP01 Tactical. My 1 1/2 CZs consist of a P01 (aka CZ75 D Compact), and a Kadet .22 assembly.

Kyle M, what baseplates are on those magazines? Or are those exclusive to the .40 version? I've got the thick baseplates on my 18-round 9mm mags, but only flat metal baseplates on my Mec-Gar 16-rounders.

I'm not sure if their exclusive to the .40 or not, all I know is there the ones it came out of the factory with. Though I did notice on CZ's site that both the 9mm and the .40 Tactical appear to have the thicker baseplate.

That is SWEEEEET!!!!
I didn't realize that an alloy compact with a standard safety could be had. I thought all the alloy framed ones had decockers.
I can already feel my bank account shrinking.

75 Police model.

Looks exactly like the one I recently got locally via the Outdoors Trader classified forum, used but nearly new, and fired just yesterday for the first time !!! My first grouping was the best I'd ever fired with a new pistol !! 150+ rounds, of Federal Aluminum, Georgia Arms reloads, and steel-cased Wolf Poly-Performance , with nary a hiccup !!! I am STOKED to have finally gotten me one !!!:D

I found out they were imported in 2000, not many around. It uses the slide from the steel compact, with the lightened nose, with a PCR frame. Not sure of the magic used to get a manual safety in there!:)

I see quite a few SP01 Tactical's here. Is there a noticeable difference between the Tacticals and safety SP01s? I have decocker compact and would like to stick to it, but since it will be range gun mainly, I would change to safety set-up if the trigger on it is really better.
