Anybody know where I can find some cheap mags for my new CZ 75B? CZ's website is asking $39 a piece!!! Wow. I thought XD mags were kinda high. Also I was wondering if any of y'all have ever used wood grips from Hogue. Are they well made? How is the fit and checkering? I want to dress up this plain jane pistol just a little bit. Thanks in advance guys.

I use MecGar mags in my CZ...I think they might even be the manufacturer of CZ magazines. Either way, they've been 100% reliable for me. I get them at:

20 bucks a pop, which is half the price the factory wants!

Can't help you on the grips, although www.ghostholster.com sells the factory CZ wood grips which look very sexy.

+1 on the MecGar mags, I have 20 mags about 60% MecGar and 40% (pre MacGar) factory and the MecGars are much better made.

As to the Hogue grips, I like them much more than the factory wood I have on my #2 75B but my factory wood is no where near as nice as daysleeprx's. Here is my #1 75B with Hogues:

As an after thought, here are the factory wood grips on my #1 75B, as you can see they are not as nice as daysleeprx's example:

Cheap CZ mags are hard to find. I just ordered two 14 rounders for my P01 from work and they'll be costing me about $40 a peice. I'm currently trying to find high-capacity magazines for a CZ Champion in .40sw. I'm going to be using it for Open class IPSC and two ten rounders aren't exactly going to get it done. Maybe somebody on here will know where I can get them? I have a feeling I'm going to end up combining one of the 10 rounders with a high capacity Beretta 96 mag and welding them together.

If ProMag (yes, ProMag) makes one good magazine, it's this one. The CZ75 Compact .40 10rd in blue. Natchez Shooters Supply currently has them in stock for $12.84. I have six that have functioned flawlessly as 14 rounders in my P-01 for the last two years. Work equally well in my CZ 75 Compact .40, too.

By the way...

The new pistol shoots great. This group is 33 rounds from an Iscosoles stance at 15 yards. Not bad shooting at all for me. This is the best feeling pistol I have ever handled. I just hate that I waited so long to find it.

Yes, Hakan Pek does nice work too. However, health issues have hurt his turn-around time in the recent past.

Here is a pair of PCR grips he did for me:

The old man said, “1911's & S&W's”, but the young man wanted to travel a different road. Until finally, after many a hard mile the now aged, worn and tired man came to understand; 1911's & S&W's were all he ever needed.

What about the CZs?!

Give me a break Waynedm! Even “MR. 1911” himself (Jeff Cooper) liked the CZ-75. Besides, what would I do with my Kadet Kit if I sold off the CZ’s?

Rangegod, I think Wanye was actually praising the CZ. I think he was wondering why it wasn't included with the Smiths and 1911s.:D

Oooops! Didn't realize he was quoting your sig line. LOL!!! Allow me to quietly extract my foot from my mouth.

+1 on CDNN for magazines, they've usually got the best prices I've found, but don't always have Mec-Gars in stock.

Besides Hakan Pek, Sam Barbakov here in the US (Omega Grips) does custom wood CZ grips. I've liked the quality of the set I got from him. Not sure on the Hogue wood grips.

I live in California. Where can you get 10 round fullsize mags for CZ75B. I just picked up the gun and 1 extra mag ($35). Does CDNN have them. They just show the hi cap mags.
