Anybody have or had one of these? What's the truth on reliability,
problems, etc.? I'm thinking about buying one.

I have one, 1100 rounds later I have to say for the price it's my favorite gun out of all the ones I've personally shot. From a reliability standpoint they had 2 initial issues, one was that the magazines wouldn't drop freely(designed that way) and the other one was some had FTE issues. These were from the early models and have been addressed. It's been said that guns after about A68xxxx serial number have addressed this issue. My gun doesn't have any problems and it's a A98xxxx(April 2011 date) so when you find one at the store these days they'll all be newer serials.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate to get one. At $400 new I still haven't found a gun at that range that I like more. I find it to be more accurate and comfortable than anything in that range like a Glock 19/23, XD, M&P, and others.

Have an early one and it's a great gun - accurate, reliable, and a joy to shoot. My mags don't drop freely all the time, but that doesn't really matter to me. CZ has fixed the problems in the early guns and their Customer Service is outstanding. The ergonomics and trigger pull are particularly good. Check them out and see if they fit you.

Good shooting.

There were some growing pains with the earlier ones as people pointed out. The new batch coming out next year will be made with an improved polymer which will be a bit sturdier than the existing ones and shouldn't get the cosmetic bulges. Aside from the early problems, almost everything I've heard on these guns has been extremely positive.

I agree what the the others have said here.

Some people are excited about the OD Green and Threaded Barrel versions due for 2012.

I'm going for the OD version myself.

Look here for more P-07 and CZ/Dan Wesson pics.

Enjoy!

Trigger guard looks HUGE... though I am sure its just the flat face of it making it appear that way.
It looks retarded in a lot of the pictures but in real life it's fine. It's one of those things where you just have to see it in person.

I got a new one 3-4 months ago and I've taken it with me probably 10 times when I went shooting. I get it out and put at least 50 through it every trip and i'm very impressed with the package. It's reliable, the magazines FALL out now like they are supposed to (an apparent snug fit with the first run or two), the trigger is about as good as that on a Kahr, and it handles recoil really well. Grip is super secure and it's got the safety features I enjoy.

It's a really good looking pistol in person. Some photos force it into a weird 2 dimensional squashed looking thing, but it's very nice in real life.

For the price, there is probably no better pistol out there. It's basically a Glock with a good trigger and grip.

Good pistol. Only complaint is cheap feeling safety and cheap paint on sights that came off when I got some gun cleaner on them.

The new version with threaded barrel and high sights looks very cool. I wouldn't mind getting one with a 'can to go with it - suppressors are legal here. :)
