Hey guys picked up a cz p01 a few weeks ago. Looking to put a set of night sights on it. I've found four choices, Tru Glock tfx, trijicons, meprolights , and xs standard dots. All run about the same price. Heres my thoughts.

The tfx are nice, pre drilled and supposed to be good in all lights. I've heard mixed things on their aight alignment ,line up the dot vs line up the top of sights. Would like some input on actual use of these.

The trijicons are not predrilled ,and I'm not sure if the front sight is the proper height for the p01.

The meprolights are a solid all around and lots of people have them. They have the proper height for p01, but must be drilled. Also mixed fitment reviews on their rear sights in the dove tail.

The xs sight. Never handled these . Interested in the dot the "i" concept. I believe they have to be drilled as well. Not sure if the sight height is proper for the p01.

Any first hand input on these sights would be great regarding install and use. Assuming all these would be combat hold. This will be my edc/night stand gun. I like fiber optics ,but want night sights on this handgun,so please no just buy a Dawson fiber optic setup suggestions.thanks!

I have used Trijicon, Meprolights, and XS night sights and all have held up very well. For really quick sight acquisition the XS sights are great; I really liked them for home defense use. Only drawback is they're not so good if you're looking for a more precise and accurate sight picture. This is where the Trijicons and Meprolights have the edge over the XS sights. Never had any problem getting them put on a gun (the XS were factory installed on one of my pistols), or any issues with proper sight alignment.

Have you tried the standard or big dot? Most info out there seems to be on the big dot

The Colt New Agent came with the Big Dot front sight. It was really fast at picking it up in low light conditions.

Doesn't the factory offer Meprolight as an option? I had CZ-USA install them on my P-01. They did a fine job and it's as accurate as ever.

FYI #4 was the correct rear sight height for my P-01.

Yea they do. Mine came with the glow paint not the meprolights. I'll install them myself to save a few bucks. I think mine is a #4 as well but I guess they can vary from gun to gun. Apparently cz changes the rears to sight the gun at the factory. Only way to tell is to look at the bottom of the sight. Which I'll do next week, have a class this weekend and don't want to mess with my zero.

Literally anything will be better than the glow paint sights.

I researched my records: everything including parts, labor and shipping cost me $160. Of course that's too much but I didn't mind. CZ-USA is great. The P-01 is phenomenally accurate.
