I posted this on the CZ forum and haven't yet gotten any answer. I'm curious if anyone here has run across this:

I've wished for a bigger slide stop for my P10 for some time. I've seen the Apex offering, which to me is too wide (especially since it's on both sides) as well as the one from CZC which would have more leverage due to being longer but may not offer much more purchase for the thumb than does the original. I have been meaning to talk to my smith to see what might be possible but I do some searching now and then to see if anything new comes up. Recently though my googling turned up this unit: https://www.doubletapsports.com/cz-p10-slide-stop-extended

It looks like it slides over the stock lever somehow, and creates a lever that in profile at least resembles the "stepped" levers on my SP01 and P01, which I like very much. I can't figure out how it attaches - maybe epoxy or solder?

Anyway, I contacted the seller (Double Tap) to ask for pictures of it installed on a pistol but they couldn't help. They are in Canada and flat out said "pistols are illegal here so we sell the part but we've never installed one." Here's the weird part though: they say that this is a CZ factory-made part. They say the part number from the CZ factory is 1091-1378-01, but I can't find that anywhere on an CZ official site.

SO - does anyone have any experience with this part? I'm really interested to see pics from the side and from above to see how much width it adds to the gun, and to know how it's attached.

Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't see your post at CZF. However, a quick perusal of CZ Custom, CZ-USA and CZ-UB shows nothing like that, and I note that the website you link shows out of stock. It might have been made by A factory, but it doesn't seem to be CZ-UB, CZ-USA or CZ Custom. Interesting they refuse to give any information, perhaps for the reason that they don't WANT to be up front about the item. A quick search with the product code turns up a lot of after market mag extensions for the P-10C. Looking for that part number by itself brings up exactly one other hit, ALSO in Canada, Firearms Outlet, another outfit I've never heard of until now. Interesting the one and only review posted;

Wrong part they have stocked

I online ordered this cz slide stop. From the online description it was exactly the part I needed. But once I got to the store for pick up , it was completely a different part and looked nothing like the online part. They told me they would contact the distributor and get in the correct part as per the website. That was over a month ago. And sinceRead more about I online ordered this cz slide stop.
know one contacted me, I decided to stope into the store and see if they had resolved the issue. To my surprise they were still stocking the wrong part and done nothing to correct the issue. When I spoke with their inventory department. The answer I received to resolve this was to purchase this part from Brownel’s.
So, Brownells? Let's look. A search with the provided "CZ part # " brings up;

Sorry, there is no result for 1091-1378-01
So we'll try with "CZ P-10C Extended Slide Stop";

That is the Apex Short Paddle Enhanced Slide Release for CZ P-10 C, F, S, not at all what you are looking for.
Long answer short - it's most likely a scam.

You could always train to use it as a slide stop, vs slide release. With enough you might not even see much difference between the two in reload speed.

Truth - we are taught at Dept range to never call it a slide release, just a slide stop, and to use gross motor movements like grasping the slide to release it. One, it helps with loss of fine motor skills in a "situation", and more practical, range guns don't wear the slide stop notch rounded with all that releasing the slide by the slide stop. With as many rounds as our range pistol put downrange, that really is a valid concern!

That's my instinct. It's a great picture though, I wish it were real.

Which is how I generally shoot this pistol and a few others (slingshot). I like options though, so I'll keep looking and hoping.

For options...

Ben Stoeger on handgun fit. You can skip to about the 2:10 mark for his comments on reaching the mag release and the slide stop.

Shannon Smith with a Glock at about 7:45 mark

Larry Vickers with a Beretta at about the 1:18 mark
