Ended up with both, after running across a CHEAP gen2 19.

The 19 and p01 compare very favorably. Both fit in that G19 Minataur Comptac holster like it was made for each. Weight is about the same, the P01 is about 5 oz's heavier, but it fits my hand and balances better. Shot about 100 rounds through each today. It takes a little bit of adjustment at first when going from one to the other, the G19 grip hump makes it point higher at first until I adjust. The Fusion bobtail compares favorably size-wise, but weighs about the same as the other 2 put together. Both accurate and both ran like tops.

I do like my CZ's though:

RZ-45, Kadet, 75SA and P01

I would go with my PCR just because I can't stand the God-awful Glock trigger.

Well, the Czech special forces selected the Glock 17 to be their
pistol after extensive testing(it's in the Glock annual). What does that tell you? They could have had ANY CZ pistol they wanted but picked a Glock. :)

The PCR is okay, but I would take the PO1 over it because the
PO1 was put through some brutal testing. I also prefer the forged
frame of the PO1. Both feel good in the hand(better than a Glock I will
admit).

Random thoughts(facts):

-The G19 is lighter.
-The G19 is simpler to detail strip.
-Magazines are readily available for Glocks from many sources.
-Parts are readily available from many sources.
-Accessories are abundant for the G19.
-Glocks maintain their value better.
-G19 has a simpler manual of arms(no safety to release or flip on
accidentally when that punk with a Hi Point is drawing down on you).
-Better corrosion protection.
-More reliable(based on experiences with a few CZ-75's)

That sums it up for me. If the CZ works for you, great. I wouldn't mind
picking up a PO1 one of these days, but it would be a plinker, not a bullets
flying at you defense gun. I'll stick to Glock, thank you. ;)

Well, there was no testing nor any kind of tender, it was justified by saying their counterparts from other countries carry them in Astan so that they need the same gun, as SOG once did with Bushmaster: "We cannot carry vz.58 if we are 4 guys in group of 100 Americans .." Also MPI (importer of Glock and FN) has rather "good relations" with army...

I want a hand gun that when loaded is ready to fire at all times. All you have to do is point and pull the trigger. And I want a weapon that will fire every time under all conditions. The gun should be simple to operate and breakdown with low maintenance. It should have a long life. The trigger pull should be uniform or steady and consistent--no traditional double verses single action issues and the pull should be comfortable-mine is set a 3.5 lbs. It should have low recoil or muzzle flip. It also should have a huge selection of add-on or equipment to modify or enhance its use and performance.

Only the Glock does the above. :)

I like the Glock 17 over the Glock 19 as it fits me better. However the Glock 19 would be my carry gun if we had carry here.

The CZ I handled had great ergonomics and seemed like a nice gun. But I have become a fan of Glock simply because I can work on them in my house. They are also very supportive of their customers and the damned things just work.

I would feel well armed with a CZ as well but I prefer the Glock especially in 9mm. The only changes I would make would be to install a smooth face trigger and to put some decent night sights on as well as a plug in the grip. The plug is not necessarily but I feel it improves the looks. As far as the usefulness of the plug, that is up for debate.

Let me just say: Do NOT use a 2-stack gun with a tuckable or any kind of IWB holster - it's just terribly uncomfortable, IME.

These two pistols are perfect for fanny pack or OWB carry.

But for IWB or smartcarry, get something thinner, regardless of how big it may be otherwise: 1911, baby 1911, HK P7, Kahr, etc.

You will thank me later.

Obviously, the PCR is hands down the better pistol of those two, but you really need to consider the mode of carry and comfort level before settling upon holster and matching gun. Or gun and matching holster, depending upon how you look at it.

Just MO.

Uhmm, no. I find a G19 and the P01 to be as comfortable as anything IWB. You're not using the right holster.

I'm with Kentucky on the IWB issue. Go with a Crossbreed Supertuck or Minotaur MTAC/Spartan, and you'll be fine carrying just about anything you choose. I carry a S&W M&P40 in a Crossbreed Supertuck with very little discomfort, even while sitting.

You just described all the CZ modern autos as well as Sigs, M&P, HD, an most other DA/SA or striker fired autos, except for out of the box trigger pull weights which can all be adjusted with springs or tuning.

Glocks are fine, but they are no better than any of the above.

Have you checked the widths lately on double stack guns (namely the glock and those like it)? Those guns you listed are not much, if any, thinner than glocks/xd/M&P. A couple tenths of an inch, maybe. The holster you choose (and pant size) is going to play a bigger part than the gun when it comes to overall felt width.

I think weight is the larger concern with respect to comfort. The dimensions are more of a concealability issue than anything.

Pretty surprised by the poll results.

In my neck of the woods, CZ's are like mythical unicorns.
Everyone has a friend, that has a cousin, that has a brother-in-law that has one and swears by them.

Love to get my hands on one to try since it is one of the last non-polymer options.

I bought a G26, for carry..... I really like it. But....
I keep wondering if I should have bought a RAMI......

CZ75B-SA, probably my favorite gun I own.
