I love mine but the factory trigger is ok not great.
I installed Cajun's 3 spring kit and its much better due to caming of the decocker
models they can be improved but will never be a 1911.

I'll agree that it'll never be a 1911, but they can be pretty crisp, with the right gunsmith's work. The triggers smooth out with use, dry-firing, or trigger work. They get more crisp in SA mode (i.e., any shot after the first one in a string of shots, starting from half-cock or hammer down) only when the hammer/sear interface is adjusted. Using the gun isn't going to improve it, or make the camming go away.

That said, the problems you describe (camming) exists for the "safety" equipped models, too. Internally, both types are essentially the same, except that the decocker models have one hammer hook removed to make room for the decocker mechanism, which is installed where the safety once set. Unless there has been a change since I last looked at them -- possible, of course -- the triggers and all other related parts (and the trigger pull) is the same. (Compacts models may feel a bit different than full-size models because of slightly different hammer springs, which have been shortened to fit in a shortened grip.)
