Well, I plan to buy the PO 1 but this will have to do for now.

I like to think that Darth Vader would choose one of these....

The sight install was done by Makarov.com and the finish by Mac's Shootin' Iron Restorations. I also bought and installed the grips, internals and barrel from Makarov.com. The extended barrel is ported and really adds to the pyrotechnic show.

The sights were the biggest improvement.

Here's a photo of some of my collection, All CZs except the Kimber at lower left, all wearing Hakan grips except the 97B, and all wearing HBE holsters.

The PCR and 40P in the middle row are my main carry pistols, but all of these have been carried at one time or another.

CZ-75B SA

Here's two.

I bought/traded for both, used, from Eric Larsen, who participates here.

the SA was tuned by somebody who REALLY knew his stuff (and with whom Eric has lost contact); Eric did his own stippling on the front and backstraps, and Hakan Pek did the grips. (Sights are PTs, I think...)

I just shoot it. Its about as nice a CZ as I've encountered -- and just about as accurate as any 9mm I've shot (and I've had a few nice ones.)

The second one has a set of Hakan's grips, which were later checkered by another craftsman (before I got them); sorry, but I don't know his name.

This is also a FINE shooting gun, and its my carry piece.

(I've kept the file sizes small, out of respect for system resources, so the pictures aren't as clear as I'd like...)

Regards,

Hakan.

I have a CZ in my unique collection of hand tools. It is in the middle, a CZ-75B SA. A real nice shooter. I added nite sights, replaced a few springs, and very much like it. (It is full size, the Walker in this pic makes it look like a carry piece.)

I guess I'm just a single action guy....

What do you guys think about that P-01? Small enough for CCW? How easy is it to operate the controls left handed?

While its a compact gun, I prefer the similar 75 Compact, because of its narrower frame at the front. (The P-01 has a wider frame and accessory rail)..

The Compact also lacks the decocker and can be carried "cocked and locked." The new 85 Compact is ambi-dextrous and the same size as the 75 Compact. Its a bit heavier, though, with a steel frame rather than alloy. (A picture of my Compact is shown a few messages up.)

The AMBI-issue is not that great with a decocker gun -- as I'm pretty sure the mag release can be reversed -- and some folks just work it with their forefinger, anyway. No safety to worry about.

OK K-Man . . . . .I'm confused!

That holster in your pic looks FANTASTIC! You didn't say who made it, but I figured it had to prolly come from the link in your sig line - But I didn't see it in there.

Please tell me about that holster!

GaryinPA:

Yes, I'm the maker of the holster. It's offered on the Belt Defender page of the website.

It's the newest of our holsters, and has gotten very good reviews by the users. The adjustable clips (also have j-hooks avail) allow you to set the "depth" and cant of the holster. It's a tuckable style and is available for a variety of guns.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
