Pachmayrs rock if they are still available.

I've had these for some 34+ years.

Factory screws are perfect.

Mag release access is excellent.

I think he's talking about the mag release, not the slide release. You are, of course, correct that loading from slide-lock is materially and reliably faster when done using the slide release lever rather than any direct manipulation of the slide.
Perhaps that was his intent, but I thought otherwise. Why? Because I've never had problems of reaching or pressing a mag release, but I have had a lot of problems reaching and releasing the slide stop/release, without changing my grip.

For a number of years, the only gun I owned that let me easily release the slide without changing my grip was a Glock 34 (which had an extended release.) I later learned to use my OFF-HAND to release the slide.
yes, the mag release. i can reach it with no problem on the glock 17, but not on the cz

and:

i'm psyched up, today (according to my email) i will be getting my CZ rubber grips, (from CZ) and an extra Glock magazine (2 different companies i bought from) as both the range and the gun shop, did not have any in stock.

lol....this got posted 57 minutes ago.

15 minutes ago, the rubber grips arrive as well as the extra glock 17 rd mag.

i installed the rubber grips, with absolutely no problems, and i put a dab of Blue Loctite on the screws. the grips did come with locking washers however.

these grips ARE way more comfortable than the plastic ones, with thumb depressions on both sides. (like the plastic, only a bit deeper).

(this is a shadow at the bottom/front of this grip, otherwise, it fits very well with no spaces.)

for those of you that had said you have these and had no problem with the original screws you were correct.

i took my time installing the screws, as to not cross thread or strip them out.

thanks for the advice guys..!!
